Watch Young Dolph’s New Documentary, ‘KING’

Memphis rapper Young Dolph is the subject of a new documentary, KING, part of WorldStarHipHop’s new Enigma documentary series. You can watch the entire documentary above.

The doc drops just three days after Memphis rapper Black Youngsta and two associates turned themselves in to Charlotte Police in connection with the attempted shooting of Dolph in Charlotte last February. Youngsta is signed to Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint.

Towards the end of KING, Dolph comments on the attack, “I got a lot of beefs, Charlotte that shit was nothing. I got shot at several times and I just apply this shit to my art.”

Defense attorneys for Blac Youngsta (born Sammie Marquez Benson), issued a statement maintaining their client’s innocence and saying that the arrest was due to the lyrics in Dolph’s music, rather than any hard evidence.

The new documentary comes about a month after the release of Dolph’s album, Bulletproof, inspired by the shooting. This February in Charlotte, North Carolina, over 100 shots were fired at Young Dolph’s SUV, which he had spent $600,000 on to have bullet-proofed. Thankfully no one was hurt in the attack and Dolph even made it to his gig later that night. At least two songs on the album directly refer to the incident, “100 Shots” and “In Charlotte.”

In Dolph’s Open Space interview with MASS APPEAL he elaborated on how he has survived close calls before and explained why he’s not worried. You can watch the entire interview below.
