You Can Pretty Much Make Any Music With This Website
Either make legit tracks or just kill some time
These days, if you have a computer and a burning desire to make music, there’s really nothing stopping you. If you’re willing to shell out cash there are programs like Reason and Ableton that will pack a studio’s worth of function into a convenient and affordable package. If you don’t have money and are willing to go the less-than-legit route, most programs can be found with BitTorrent. But if you want to be fully legit for free or just want something super convenient AudioTool.com is actually awesome.
The free website has drum machines, synths, effects and ancillary tools that can pretty much be used to make any music imaginable. The gear is designed to emulate classic pieces like the Roland TR-909 drum machine, the Roland TB-303 bass synth and a range of Boss effects pedals.
Everything functions in a similar way as Reason. Pull a virtual piece of gear into the workspace and connect it with a virtual cord to either the mixer or another piece of gear. There’s a timeline at the bottom for recording and arranging the music you produce. If you have a keyboard, plug that sucker in to control the instruments. You’ll have to setup a free account to export your music and the site can even upload directly to sites like Soundcloud and YouTube.
Could you make pro tracks with this thing? Theoretically, yeah. But more likely this is either a great way to test out your skills and get familiar with the basics of recording. It’s also just a nice way to kill some time in your browser. Check it out for yourself here.
