Yahoo (Accidentally) Tweets That Donald Trump Wants a “Much N*gger Navy”
Yahoo! commits the Twitter blunder to top all Twitter blunders
Last night, Yahoo! Finance attempted to alert its 714,000 Twitter followers that President-elect Donald Trump would like to expand the nation’s navy. So, they sent out a tweet featuring a picture of a huge navy ship with this caption attached: “Trump wants a much n*gger navy.”
It’s an understandable typo, as the “n” key sits adjacent to the “b” key on standard keyboards, but it’s the worst possible typo they could’ve made. What’s worse? The mistake wasn’t immediately taken care of. For the better part of the next hour, the “n*gger navy” tweet was still visible on Twitter, but it would eventually be retracted by Yahoo, who apologized for the blunder just after the clock struck midnight.
We deleted an earlier tweet due to a spelling error. We apologize for the mistake.

Naturally, Twitter had a field day, and some pretty brilliant spoofs of the typo went viral.
