Why We’re Still Waiting on Drake’s New Project
Now there's more time to get your memes ready
Drake has been teasing his upcoming “playlist” project, More Life, for much of 2017, but for now it remains just a promise. During a concert in late February he told an Amsterdam crowd that it would be out before he returned to do more shows in the city at the end of March. Then he quickly teased an March 4 release date on Instagram, but now that time has come and gone.
Now on Instagram, Drake’s righthand and OVO’s sonic leader, Noah “40” Shebib, casually offered up some reasoning as to why we haven’t heard More Life. It simply isn’t finished yet.
Drake still hasn’t shared an official update on any of his personal channels, but that caption, posted just 30 minutes before OVO Sound Radio usually airs on Beats 1—it was quietly replaced by a Freebandz Radio/Blonded Radio platoon on Saturday—makes it pretty clear that there’s more work to be done.
For now, you can always immerse yourself in this surprisingly high quality video snippet from a song expected to be on More Life, a vaguely controversial collaboration with Giggs.
