V/SUAL Puts It All Together for “Rep the Realm” From ‘Game of Thrones’

V/SUAL is the latest participant in “Rep the Realm,” the HBO campaign dedicated to the channel’s massive show, Game of Thrones. Given that it’s the seventh season, HBO is working with seven different designers for seven different extremely limited-edition items.

For V/SUAL’s contribution, the photography-focused apparel brand out of L.A. decided to spread a map of the world GoT inhabits across a series of five skate decks. The images span from Westeros, across the Narrow Sea, and into Essos.

V/SUAL founder Stephen Vanasco’s interest in skateboarding and photography comes from the immediacy of these two pursuits, but he was still drawn to the fantasy world of the show. “The thing about Game of Thrones that got me was more or less that you almost disregard the timeframe that it’s in, you disregard that there’s imaginative creatures and all this different stuff,” he says. “You’re so caught up in how they present it, it transcends all that.”

Future participants in “Rep the Realm” will include ALIFEBillionaire Boy’s Club40s & Shorties and Koio, joining the already revealed contributions from Carrots and Dee & Ricky.

Watch a video about V/SUAL’s history and participation in “Rep the Realm” above and be on the lookout for ravens delivering more news about new items in the coming weeks.
