Trump Wants You To Stop Saying “Resist”
Suggests #obstructandresist instead
Donald Trump is always aggrieved about something. Today from inside the White House, the president expressed his frustration with Democrats using of the word “resist.” He said that they have been “obstructing and resisting” all of his cabinet nominees and essentially everything that he has tried to do so far. And he’d like them to stop.
He then speculated that now that he’s said it, maybe the Democrats will start coopting his phrase “obstruct and resist,” which isn’t actually the most terrible of the ideas he’s come up with.
Cool. Thanks, dad.
“I hope I didn’t give them a new phrase, because their real phrase is ‘resist.’ I think I just gave them another word. I shouldn’t have done that. I’m good at branding,” he said.
Like most things Trump says, that remark really doesn’t make much sense, considering the fact that his idea of branding seems to be simply slapping his name on anything of subpar quality, be it steaks, hotels, ties, restaurants, or wine. Even if liberals do decide to rebrand their movement, as Trump pointed out (because that’s the type of person he is), “Well, if they do use it, at least I can take credit for it.”

If you’re interested in buying a “Resist” T-shirt, you can do so here. All of the proceeds go to support investigative journalism, as opposed to “fake news.”
