Bump That! Tribe Gvng “Let’s Get Wealthy” Premiere

Although they hail from Staten Island, Tribe Gvng is not what you’d expect to hear out of the slums of Shaolin. The experimental collective (think Wu-Tang meets hard bass and street goth) just filmed a video for their track “Let’s Get Wealthy” off their project The 22nd Letter EPThe dark scene captures the crew standing in line as two of the group’s MCs (Su Bviley and Cvse) trade verses behind a smoky red background and strange green flashes.

According to the video’s producers, Mosaic NY, the visuals were inspired by simplicity:

We sat down and spoke about how best to introduce Tribe Gvng visually. We ended up agreeing on capturing the video in one take and shooting for a slow-motion effect. We basically took on a technical challenge on top of the normal challenges of shooting guerrilla style videos in New York City.

I was aiming for a style that best introduced Tribe Gvng visually to their audience. They’ve already created a buzz for themselves here in the states & across the pond in the UK with their tapes. We just wanted to make this video a real three-dimensional introduction to these guys.

So here it is, the premiere of Tribe Gvng’s “Let’s Get Wealthy”. Tune in and let all the homies know that we told you to bump this!
