Travi$ Scott’s “XX” for G-Shock’s “Out Here” Video

While you keep your eyes on Nigel Sylvester’s slick tricks in his latest video for Casio G-Shock, the soundtrack should also keep your attention. Travi$ Scott’s accompanying track, “XX” is the Houston rapper’s collaboration with producer Lex Luger. Behind the scenes, Travi$ Scott’s been shadowing Kanye West and producer Mike Dean of the G.O.O.D. Music collective lending co-production (drums and synths) to the “I Don’t Like” Remix, and parts of “Mercy.” His beats have been making noise for months now, landing him a verse from T.I. on “Animal,” and a guest spot on Meek Mill’s Dreamchasers 2 mixtape. Comparisons of Travi$ to Kanye West are obvious because they’ve been in the studio together, which he talks about on his Tumblr. What’s more interesting is how his beats are strong enough to earn him a spot amongst West and Dean. Things are looking up for Travi$. Listen to his track with Casey Veggies below, plus his collab with T.I. below.
