“Time Pieces” By Goldwatch: Evidence in Venice Beach

In this installment of Jason Goldwatch’s “Time Pieces” short film series we travel to sunny Venice Beach, California to spend a day with rapper/producer Evidence of Dilated Peoples. Rapidly becoming as well known for his Instagram photography as he is for his music, Ev takes us on a photo mission in his hometown while Goldwatch captures it all on Super 8 mm film.

From Goldwatch:

“Ev and I have been shooting together for 18 years. When I first moved to LA he was pretty much the dude who introduced me to the dudebros. As we’ve grown into adults, I’ve watched him embrace the camera with as much love and attention as he gives his music. For ‘Time Pieces’ I like to film my personal heroes while they’re in the act of doing something that’s personal to them. I’ve said before that when I was faced with a tough decision, I asked myself, ‘what would Ev do?’ And his Instagram is something he holds extremely close to his heart. So we spent a nice day together and went on a photo mission with him around his neighborhood.”
