Thelonious Martin Off Tha Wall interview

“Off Tha’ Wall” – Thelonious Martin

On this episode of Off Tha’ Wall, we’re joined by the young Chi-town beatsmith Thelonious Martin. For those of you not familiar with Martin’s work, his carefully crafted soulful chops have earned him production credits with artists like Action Bronson, Chance the Rapper, Curren$y, Joey Bada$$ and many more.

During our interview Thelonious shared some his insight on his creative process, revealing that some of his most popular beats had been crafted in a matter of minutes. When the question of favorite producer came up he didn’t hesitate, naming J Dilla as the greatest. Thelo also went on to explain how hearing a Dilla track while watching Adult Swim inspired him to create music.

Watch the interview above and afterwards head over to Thelonious Martin’s SoundCloud to check out his music.

P.S. don’t mind the blanket on his head his hair.
