SUPER: Devin the Dude

When we can, MASS APPEAL sits down with a fascinating member of our community and asks them to conjure a superhero version of themselves. Can you think of a better person and a better day to attempt this experiment than with Devin the Dude on 4/20?

Didn’t think so.

Devin is a Master Splinter-level stoner and a storyteller extraordinaire. Here he conjures a superhero tale centered around Super D, a hero so lazy he can’t be bothered to put the “ude” across his chest. Though he does get assists from our old friend Zeldar.

Unfortunately for anyone in any actual trouble, Super D isn’t the type of superhero who saves a day or moves faster than a speeding bullet. In fact, when Super D actually comes across a problem, instead of swooping in, he’ll wait until it’s over and then console the victim with some weed and motivational words.

Also, Devin the Dude joined us for a 4/20 edition of the Open Space video series and appears over a dozen times on our 420-song weed rap playlist for 4/20, so for that, we’re extra grateful.
