PREMIERE: Stro x MannyWellz “Holy Vibe”

Born in Lagos and raised in Maryland, MannyWellz brings a versatile sensibility to his music. Tracks like “Wrong Place” are a great showcase for the up-and-coming vocalists’ singsong flows and SoundCloud numbers. Stro—aka Astro, or The Astronomical Kid—was born and raised in Brooklyn by a Jamaican mom. The two conneccted via Treble—a new social networking that helps music makers connect. To supplement their iOS App, the company also throws real-world events and gatherings for artists to connect, collab, and come together at venues, art galleries, warehouses and different spaces all across New York City.

“Our first ‘Treble Track,’ “New York Nights,” by Taylor Bennett, featured one of our favorite artists on the platform, Stro,” says Treble co-founder Matt Bond. “We decided to bring him back for another one and pair him with singer, rapper, and producer, MannyWellz.” The track was recorded at Shifted recording in Brooklyn.

“’Holy Vibe’ addresses the women that want something pure and authentic in a relationship,” says Wellz. ““This was my first time meeting and working with MannyWellz but you can’t tell listening to this song,” says Stro. “It only took us 3 hours to make it, but that’s because the chemistry in the studio made it feel like we’ve known each other forever.” Check the sounds below.
