Rhythm Roulette With Statik Selektah

This time around on Rhythm Roulette we linked up with Boston-bred and Brooklyn-based producer/turntablist Statik Selektah. From building his Show Off collective from the ground up and putting on Termanology and highly underrated emcee Reks- to working with more popular names such as Joey Bada$$, Freddie Gibbs, Action Bronson- Statik has definitely proved his talents year in and year out.

After putting the ceremonial blindfold on, getting his fingers dusty, and heading back to the studio- Statik created one hell of a dope beat for us. He then added the finishing touches with a quick scratching demonstration, when he realized he owned a Jay-Z record that was singing the same words as the vocal sample in the beat

Check out the episode above to see Statik’s full beat making process and make sure to go get his latest project Extended Play. If you haven’t already, we thinks it’s time for you ease up on the snooze button. Also, be on the look out for more episodes of Rhythm Roulette  in the near future.
