PREMIERE: Slaine vs. Termanology “Came A Long Way” ft. Conway
...had them bringing me keys like the lease up
The state of Massachusetts has been a solid producer of hip-hop since the early days. From vets like Edo G. and The Almighty RSO, to the next gen like Reks and Akrobatik, to more recent reppers like Tragic Allies and C Wells. However, it’s hard to argue that there are two names who have done more for Murda Mass than Termanology and Slaine. Both have waged a holy war to keep their state in hip-hop fans’ minds (and ears).
For Slaine, his contributions have largely come in the form of tearing down stages with cult favorites La Coka Nostra. Although, his solo discography is nothing to scoff at. Check out last year’s Slaine Is Dead EP for a wake up call if you was sleeping. As for Term, dude continues to rap like it’s his last time on the mic. His grind exemplifies the kind of hunger that it takes to make one a household name. With his crew ST. Da Squad, he rides for Lawrence, Mass. like Bruce Wayne does for Gotham. So, when these two powerhouses announced a joint project at the end of August, it was a big deal for the scene.
MASS APPEAL are stoked to give you an exclusive listen of Slaine and Term’s new single, “Came A Long Way,” from their upcoming album Anti-Hero. The cut has a guest spot by Mr. Feature himself, Conway, who starts off the track by catching a couple bodies . The tense piano and creepy atmospherics are exactly the kind of beat Slaine eats up. Term easily adapts his flow and flips a sung hook that will get in your head. Push play on this audio movie already, yo!
Anti-Hero drops on October 6 and you can pre-order the CD and bundles here.
