PREMIERE: Skipp Whitman “Slow Down”

Skipp Whitman has been on his grizzly lately. Following a quiet couple of years after Whitman Can’t Jump in 2014, he came through with Piece at the beginning of 2017. Then at the top of the summer he started releasing a slew of fresh videos, including “Fireworks” for July 4th, the guerrilla filmed “Comfortable” in September, and the zombified “Goodnight” about a month back. If you’re not familiar with this Cali by way of Massachusetts rapper, a viewing of any one of those vids will give you a good idea of who Skipp is.

To celebrate being half way done another week, we’re premiering Skipp’s latest video, “Slow Down.” This dude is not about stunting or putting on airs. In fact, just the opposite. It’s his genuine personality and lighthearted humor that make Skipp worth checking for. The visual treatment here sees him in flip flops and a trucker hat on his way to meet his girl on a sunny Cali day. This is no frills hip-hop. Hit play and see if you can resist cracking a smile.
