A 74-year-old man was arrested for an incident that occurred this past May when members of St. John’s the Apostle Catholic Church were served cookies that alleged were infused with hash oil, The Indystar reports. Shortly after the 9:15am service, six members of the church admitted were hospitalized. They reported experiencing symptoms like anxiety, lethargy and paranoia after ingesting the edibles.
Brian Jones, a longtime member of the church made passing out baked goods a part of his routine after service, but this batch was a little bit different, with a sample testing positive for THC. He told police that he made the cookies Saturday night, but denied adding any weed. Perhaps it was a miracle?
