Keith Guru Elam

Salute – Keith ‘Guru’ Elam

One of the most amazing things about life is the ability we have to impact the others around us. For better or worse, the decisions we make can last well beyond our lifetime. Keith ‘Guru’ Elam made a decision to share his skills with the world, pairing his penchant for lyricism with an unabashed honesty on wax. No bullshit. Just truth.

While few of us at Mass Appeal can claim to have met GURU personally, we are forever indebted to him for his contributions to the hip hop community and the world of music.

On the anniversary of his passing, we take a moment to pay tribute salute Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal. May his legacy and memory live on as long as the world keeps spinning.

Nah, fuck that. May his legacy live on forever.

“Straight up, as far as Premier’s beat styles and my rhyme styles … you can’t duplicate that shit, never in a fucking million lifetimes”

RIP Keith ‘Guru’ Elam
