Run The Jewels Premiere “Meowrly,” the First Track Off ‘Meow The Jewels’

El-P and Killer Mike of Run The Jewels have finally given us the first taste of the highly anticipated feline-flavored remix album Meow The Jewels. While we still don’t have a release date for the project, El-P and Killer Mike have just premiered the first track off the release on their WRTJ show on Apple’s Beats 1 radio station. “Meowrly” is a remix of “Early” by BOOTS, and the frequent Beyoncé collaborator definitely followed the guidelines and integrated a heavy dose of cat sounds.

This week’s broadcast follows last week’s inaugural show, which you can listen back to here. WRTJ airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EDT Beats 1.

Stream “Meowrly” below.

In case you’ve been sleeping under a rock, Meow The Jewels is a remix of Run The Jewels’ latest album RTJ2, and was initially conceptualized as a joke initiative. However, a Kickstarter campaign that raised over $65,000 made the album a reality. For more cat-meets-RTJ goodness, watch El-P audition cats for the album, and check out an epic trailer for the remix project here.
