PREMIERE: Rosati ft. Hus Kingpin & Rozewood “Midnight Savages” Video

What better way to start Halloween than with a tribute to film legend George A. Romero, who passed away this summer? Romero is the director who introduced the concept of zombies and forever changed the horror genre with his debut film, Night of the Living Dead.

So, for this “Midnight Savages” visual director Reggieknow and editor Phil Mic cut together a video that is made up strictly of scenes from Night of the Living Dead. What makes it more than your average “borrowed” footage vid is that they line it up so it appears the main characters from the cult classic are rapping the verses by Rosati, and his #TheWinners bros Rozewood and Hus Kingpin. It has real a “bad voice dub” aesthetic.

The sinister beat by Xtreme seems to have duelling xylophone and vibraphone samples. The result is a tense, cinematic track begging for bars. Rosati lights the match, then Rozewood throws a molotov on it, and Hus closes it out with four lines so hard he has to say them twice. This is something to smoke to before you find a horror movie on Netflix tonight.
