PREMIERE: Parkway “Hold Up”
Wait, wait, hold up
We’ve got some work coming off the interstate today: The premiere of Parkway’s newest cut, “Hold Up.” His first track in about half a year, the Virginia spitter takes things slow, with a beat by Landfill so sluggish it’s almost screwed up. Park had some nice buzz after last year’s Aura tape, and he’s dropped a few loosies since then, but has been silent for a bit. He had to tell ’em, “Hold up, wait, it’s time to get this money up real quick.”
And now he’s back, reminiscing over good times in the bubble vest with the Goose on deck, name checking local DMV spots and peoples. His world is a modern noir, one dimly lit with blinds drawn to slits, while baddies slither around on down pillows; some on the snake tip, others riding for him.
So bump this and feel the vibes, just don’t catch no feelings. It’s a cold world out there.
