New Phone

PREMIERE: Casper & B. “New Phone Who Dis” ft. Pell

When ya ex call, sometimes it takes every amount of restraint to not pick up. Not so for Pell, who smashes that MF’n decline call button with the quickness on Casper & B’s “New Phone Who Dis.” Rapping in doubletime over a lurching electronic beat, the track ends up club-ready, but still with the dense bars to appease any hip hop head.

“This song actually started with a totally different production,” say Casper & B. “It’s just super cocky, and a lot of fun, so we rebuilt the beat to match that kind of energy.” With a slew of collaborators culled from up-and-coming rappers — C&B have worked with Michael Christmas and Skizzy Mars — they’re planning to take over the game with a upbeat but heavily rap influenced sound. Stream “New Phone Who Dis” below, and be on the look out for Low Battery Summer, out June 20th.
