PREMIERE: DirtyDiggs x Planet Asia “Profit Hunting” Video

Planet Asia has been around for a minute and in that time he has got the chance to rap over a literal who’s who of producers’ beats. From Madlib to Oh No to Khrysis to Jake One to Alchemist to Peanut Butter Wolf to Khalil to Supa Dave West, he’s spit over all your favorite beat-brewers concoctions. He has even done full albums with highly respected pillars of the culture like Evidence, DJ Muggs, and Gensu Dean. However, when he hooked up with production team DirtyDiggs about a half decade back, it was clear these three were meant to make music together.

DD became PA’s go-to guys and eventually the in-house producers for his Gold Chain Music label and Gold Chain Military squad. They produced large portions of his classics Black Belt Theatre and Egyptian Merchandise, and all of Nautica Nagas and High End Cloths. If you’re not familiar with the level of quality that those releases maintain, please do your ears and brain a favor.

Today we are giving you your first taste of DD and King Medallions video for “Profit Hunting” off DirtyDiggs’ White Label EP from earlier this year. The project dropped on limited 10” vinyl and featured Gold Chain soldiers like Rogue Venom, Supreme Cerebral, The Commissioner, and Washeyi Choir. Back to the video, it’s a no frills, no nonsense demonstration of skill and precision filmed on the streets of LA. Asia relentlessly goes over the triumphant strings and jazzy sax, letting listeners know he has not been properly compensated for his service to the game. If you ain’t paid for one of PA’s dope releases this year, the least you can do is pay attention for 1:43.
