O’Reilly Issues Bullshit Apology For Dissing Maxine Waters AND James Brown
Say it loud
In the video clip above, taken from this morning’s episode of Fox & Friends, we see Bill O’Reilly not only questioning the patriotism of—and straight-up disrespecting—Rep. Maxine Waters but also insulting the Godfather of Soul, James Brown.
Right around the 1:05 mark, O’Reilly states that he couldn’t pay attention to Maxine Waters’ powerful words about discrimination, isolation and undermining on account of her “James Brown wig.” Perhaps he needs to remove the falafel residue stuck in his ears. Does the Fox News host even realize that racially charged remarks of that sort only prove to underscore Rep. Waters’ point?
In light of the fact that O’Reilly knows nothing about soul or James Brown and can’t seem to curb his schoolyard bully behavior long enough to learn something, we’ve taken the time to transcribe Rep. Waters’ statement for the benefit of him and the whole MAGA crew.
“We have suffered discrimination. We have suffered isolation and undermining, but we stand up for America. Oftentimes others who think they are more patriotic, who say they are more patriotic, do not. When we fight against this president and we point out how dangerous he is for this society and for this country, we’re fighting for the democracy. We’re fighting for America. We’re saying to those who say they are patriotic but they turn a blind eye to the destruction he’s about to cause this country, you’re not nearly as patriotic as we are.”
While preparing this story we were notified that Bill O’Reilly has apologized for his “jest”:
“As i have said many times, I respect Congresswoman Maxine Waters for being sincere in her beliefs. I said that again today on Fox & Friends, calling her ‘old school.’ Unfortunately I also made a jest about her hair, which was dumb. I apologize.”
Sorry dude, your apology doesn’t mean shit. Go kick rocks.
