NYC Party People at Tammany Hall for BPM152
Step to the rear, the BPM152 photo recap is here.
The first month of parties from the BPM152 collective came, saw, and conquered the Lower East Side of New York City. Every other week, kids pack the basement of Tammany Hall letting go of their inhibitions. The only thing left to hold onto are their butts. Even Jason Scott Henderson, the curator of the BPM152 party series had to brace himself for the musical onslaught. He says,
“NiRE dropped a couple of DJ Rashad’s new juke tracks that blew my mind; Mess Kid did his usual damn dark and stormy thing; Gobby and his girlfriend Jamie Krasner dropped some serious knowledge of the weird deep house kind. The night was great. Local VIPs in NYC’s music scene like Le1f, Mykki Blanco, Sweater Beats, Jerry Jones of EVR Special Programming came to party as well as special guests from out of town like Total Freedom, Labanna Babalon & The ATL Twins (aka Thurman & Sidney Sewell) hung out. Physical Therapy’s 3 Step R&B kept everyone floored, and Don Froth’s closing set of strictly vinyl house was highly impressive and energetic.”
Jamie Krasner has heat for that ass too. She’s featured on a track with Physical Therapy, off PT’s Safety Net EP out now. Listen to the track below. The rest is history in the photos by Ken Volk via Antwan Duncan (I Think You’re Swell). See you again when BPM152 returns on July 14th for another night to remember. No word if the Spring Breakers twins / ATL Twins will be there.
