NOMADS Tyler Bradberry

PREMIERE: Nomads “Too Little Too Late”

Since their inception, L.A.’s Nomads have offered a particularly harsh brand of hardcore punk. Now the outfit are leveling up with their latest release, Love It or Leave It, out April 22 on Melotov Records. The first track, “Too Little Too Late,” shows off their manic drive, providing a relief for those looking to let pure aggression wash over them. The two and a half minutes race by at a sprinting pace, with their singer Mike howling as always. The band has built its reputation on a live show that doesn’t top 15 minutes, and this recording promises to bring that feeling direct to you at home, with production and mastering for this effort completed by Taylor Young (Nails) and Brad Boatright (Magrudergrind). The record reiterates their themes of drugs, conflict, and cop hate with a vicious insistence.

In a world of posturing and outfits, it’s difficult to pass the smell test—to operate and appeal to people within the world of punk, touring with bands like ACxDC, and Extreme Noise Terror, while still reaching outside of themselves, playing gigs like “Nature World’s Night Out” opening for giants like Soulja Boy, and rising powerhouse Antwon.

The honesty and intentionality of Nomads will hit you in the face like a two by four, or some other aggressive metaphor people use for aggressive music. It’s raw and it’s good, and it lacks bullshit. Listen.

If you're in the Los Angeles area, make sure to catch Nomads at one of their upcoming dates.
