Maxo Kream and Lil Uzi Vert Finally Head to “Mars”

Maxo Kream kicked off the week with his new Lil Uzi-featuring single, “Mars.” The release ends months of anticipation that began when the Houston MC first teased the track on social media in May.

“Mars” sounds very much like Uzi and Maxo’s frequencies merged together. From the jump you can hear Uzi rap-sing his way over a cheery piano melody, setting the stage for Maxo’s slick delivery oozing with punchlines and easygoing cadences.

Since Maxo first teased “Mars” with a Snapchat video, he released the single “5200,” which’s racked up over 300,000 plays, while Uzi Vert finally dropped his Luv is Rage 2 album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last week. “Mars” first premiered on an episode of the always buzzing OVO Sound Radio this past weekend.

Maxo last dropped a solo project, Persona Tape, in 2016. With “5200” and “Mars” now in rotation, the H-town rep may be ready to release a follow-up in the near future.
