Macklemore Unveils the Melo M10 “Northwest King Salmon,” aka the “Thrift Shop” of Jordans

Hip hop’s hottest fashion icon now has his own shoe. Old news you say? Well, it isn’t Kanye, Hov, Pharrell or Rozay, it’s actually Macklemore, that self-hating dude from Seattle who everyone loves/loves-to-hate/loves-to-self-hate.

Before performing over the weekend at the Jordan Brand Classic, Macklemore seized the opportunity to unveil his collaboration with Jordan, the Melo M10 “Northwest King Salmon.” True to their namesake, the shoes exude a predominantly salmon colorway.

Coincidentally, Macklemore chose Carmelo Anthony’s signature silhouette, which is to sneakerheads what “Thrift Shop” is to Gangsta Rap. (A wise word to any athlete signed to Jordan Brand: You’re doomed to live in the shadow of Mike’s signature shoe releases and will never reach equal success under the Jumpman umbrella.)

Much like salmon, these shoes are a bit fishy, but at least my dude can complete his nude-colored onesie pajama set to perform at next year’s Grammy’s.

No word on a release date yet so keep it locked. But one burning question remains for Macklemore. “Do you like fishsticks?”

Yo! Adrian likes to make fun of pre-pubescent virgin sneakerheads.
