Keyon Harrold ft. Bilal & Big K.R.I.T. “Stay This Way”

Hailing from Ferguson, Missouri, the Grammy-winning jazz musician Keyon Harrold has worked with a galaxy of rap and R&B stars including Common, Maxwell, Beyoncé, JAY-Z, Rihanna and Eminem. On Septmember 29 his album The Mugician will shine a light on his own unique gifts.

The album’s title was conceived during a conversation with Don Cheadle, the producer, director, and star of the 2015 Miles Davis bio-pic Miles Ahead. Harrold played most of the music heard in the film, and during promotional interview Cheadle was looking for a way to describe the power of his renditions of Miles Davis compositions, played so real and raw, so alive.

“This record is the peak of a love story right before it falls off and becomes another broken heart,” says Missouri jazz man Keyon Herrold of the track “Stay This Way” off his forthcoming album, which premiered today over on Tidal. “This is the moment when love is perfect. There is the recognition by the singer and rapper from what isn’t said that they fear this is the pinnacle. After this, the love will deteriorate, but they try to relish and bask in the perfection of now.” Check out the track below and pre-order The Mugician here.
