Jae Tips “Sold My Yeezys”

Jae Tips drops a video for the raw-and-uncut track, “Sold My Yeezys” off of his latest mixtape South of Houston.  The Jaison Blackrose-directed visuals show Tips flexing from the downtown New York City streets of SoHo all the way up to the blocks of The Bronx, where the rapper resides. Tips looks to bring integrity to the bastardized “hypebeast” term. His love and pride for street culture is apparent in his bravado. It’s obvious that he’s not just trying to look cool and model his kicks, but by actually bringing viewers into his world and showing them how New York serves as both his inspiration and competition. When asked about the tune Jae Tips replied:

“I just wanted to display the love I have for my city, but the struggle as well that you have to go through to make it here. From the thought process of writing lyrics to showing people how hard you have to go and sacrifice, not only to chase dreams, but follow them. It’s more than just dropping a video or sending out emails, but the stuff you got to get to that point. And that’s what I wanted people to see in this video.”

Check out the video and let us know what you think. If you’re not familiar with Jae Tips then you need stop what your doing and check out South of Houston here.
