HBK’s IAMSU! Glows Up in “I Know It” Video

It’s been a minute since the days of “Gas Pedal,” but the HBK Gang has remained productive, dropping low key gems year after year. This week IAMSU! released his Boss Up 2 EP and today the first single “I Know It” gets the visual treatment, courtesy of Chito Floriano. In it, Su wanders through a series of empty rooms that glow in bright monochromatic colors. There are also subtle flickers of animation, which are kinda bugged, because sometimes you can’t tell if they were actually there or not.

Recently IAMSU! has been departing from the ratchet sound, exploring alternatives like this melodic, R&B-type track that blends with his bouncy Bay Area delivery. He drops lines like, “She ask me I’m in the studio/ I’m like roger, copy/ I play my girl that Kehlani, she gets tsunami-nami” and “Throw you in the water/ You either sink or you swim/ Throw me in the water I’m growing some gills or some fins.”
