Bay area singer, and former Miss Appeal, Hazel Rose is coming out hard with the video for her first single “Heartbeat” and we have it exclusively for your listening pleasure.

Formerly of the San Fransisco hip hop group 40 Love, Rose is stepping out on her own and turning up the heat for this drum heavy, club banger. We chopped it up with Rose to find out the back story behind her latest release. Here’s what she had to say about the project;

“Heartbeat” is the first single from my debut solo LP 9 Lives. The album travels through phases of the heart through love, heartbreak, and healing. The first phase of my heart I want to share is transformation, because music saved me when I needed it most. The song is produced by Stylo, known for his production with Los Rakas, and the video is directed by Nelson G. Navarrete with cinematography by Claudio Napolitano. Look out for the album 9 Lives coming in 2014 and my upcoming single “Robotic.”
