ScHoolBoy Q, Kendrick Lamar & Tech N9ne Weigh In on the Legacy of Illmatic

Google Play’s new mini-doc. “Special Feature: Illmatic XX” features some of contemporary hip hop’s notable acts speaking on the impact of Nas‘ perennial hit album Illmatic, in honor of its 20th anniversary. Speaking with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolBoy Q, Tech N9NE, and Nas himself we get a sense of the impact of the album and Nas also explains its significance to his story, his environment, and it’s significance to the overall hip hop diaspora.
