Future to Rocko: ‘You’re a Con Artist’
Future and Rocko trade shots over who owes who
Future and Rocko’s relationship was once one of mutual benefit. Rocko was an established Atlanta rapper with enough mainstream appeal to give Future a launching pad through his A1 Recordings imprint back in 2011. Since then, however, Rocko has accused Future of moving on from their legal partnership and inking a new deal with L.A. Reid and Epic Records, allegedly without honoring the monetary provisions of their original contract. In short, it’s Rocko’s estimation that Future owes him a boatload of money. Rumors recently suggested that Rocko was awarded a decision that gives him a sizable cut of Future’s upcoming earnings, but as of the time of this writing, the case is still being dealt with by lawyers.
That fact hasn’t stopped both artists from making their feelings known on social media. First, in a recent Twitter Q&A, Future declared to a fan that he wasn’t putting out albums at a rapid rate because he was trying to quickly pay Rocko back. Rocko responded on Instagram by reminiscing on the days when his relationship with Future was better and stating that had he and Future “settled this like men,” there wouldn’t be legal issues. He ended his comment by reminding people to pre-order Future’s new album, HNDRXX.
Future, unimpressed by the post, commented on it, calling Rocko a “con artist,” and telling the Atlanta vet that he’ll ‘die fake.’
This prompted a stronger response from Rocko, who recalled a clip of him coaching Future in one of his music videos.

This saga will likely continue at least through the weekend, considering Future’s HNDRXX album is due out at midnight.
