Cris Cab is the product of pop and Caribbean music bubbling in a pot cheffed up by Wyclef and Pharrell Williams. If you’re a kid just warming up to music with a reggae twist to it, then you’re looking for something to stick to your ribs. That’s what food from the West Indies does—giving you that hearty sustenance that you can’t get from a kid’s meal of nuggets and fries. Cris Cab, growing up in Florida, he’s as much of a neighbor to the West Indies as Brooklynites are to Haitians, Jamaicans, Dominicans, etc. Then he spent some time in the Bahamas warming up to the Caribbean flavor. When he comes to New York’s Santos Party House to perform next week (featuring special guests) you’ll get a sense of his musical family tree. We want to give you the access to see him live.
