Famous Pot Smokers Highlight Brian Wood’s Collection

Lots of chatter lately about the 2012 London Olympics, and retail goods made in the USA after it was revealed that Team USA’s Olympic uniforms, designed by Ralph Lauren, were actually made in China.

The talk, of course, centered around New York, where Lauren got his start. Lauren’s a product of NY, one of the world’s capitals nurturing talented designers and housing them in factories where they produce fly gear and employ thousands of workers. Great for talking points on TV, but no mention was given to the little guys—designers like Brian Wood who has been manufacturing cool shit in NYC for about a decade after graduating from Brooklyn’s Pratt Institute.

Wood, last seen here a few weeks back when we wrote about his LA Alumni launch, is back on our radar because he recently launched a new, limited-edition collection with NYC hip-hop artist/producer, and current host of the Smokers Club Tour, Shiest Bubz. The pair’s Purple Sour Alumni T-shirt is the latest release of B Wood’s coveted Alumni series, featuring some of the world’s most famous potheads including Wiz Khalifa, Woody Harrelson, Snoop Dogg, old timey stoners Cheech and Chong, and the godfather of marijuana, Jack Herer.

Available  in an array of colorways, each T-shirt is sold with a limited edition button. Sizes range from Small through XXL and was manufactured in New York City. Get yours at http://everydazemybirthday.com/ for $50.00 USD.

Ever the prolific designer and artist, Wood recently tried his hand at directing his first music video—Yung Nate’s “Whatchu Livin Like” featuring Show Tufli and Frank Ramz. The video was produced by Def Sheppard Media, and shot by Tyvan Flims in Nate’s hometown of Harlem. You can see some of Wood’s current and past collection in it. We think he did a good job!

Check out A$AP Rocky and Vinnie Chase in the Purple Sour Alumni shirt below.
