PREMIERE: Estee Nack x sadhugold. “Differences”

No, the “Mass” in MASS APPEAL is not short for Massachusetts. But yes, we are covering a lot of fly hip hop coming out of Murda Mass, and it ain’t stopping anytime soon because we have premieres lined up with half a dozen more syllable soldiers and Maschine masters from Boston, Lawrence, and Lynn. Today we’re hitting two birds with one stone.

We have been poli’ing with the well-established Mass crew Tragic Allies for a minute, planning how best to hit y’all off. Before we could get anything set in stone, up-and-coming producer sadhugold. got at us with the first leak off his upcoming collab with Estee Nack. If you’re unfamiliar, Estee is the unofficial head of Tragic Allies and he’s nasty on the mic. Unless you’ve bumped the multitude of albums that Tha God Fahim dropped this year, sadhugold. may not be on your radar either. Mark our words though, these dudes got the ill loops and the hard raps.

Today MASS APPEAL is premiering “Differences”, a joint off their upcoming album The Golden Surfer. The beat here is a layered masterpiece. The backbone of the track is a vocal sample that gets looped up so the harmonizing carries on perpetually. This is accentuated with a lazy guitar and a bit of piano that drops right after the reverb-heavy snare. Nack outlines his lifestyle and how it ain’t the same as these industry frauds: “Differences between you and me, ain’t a need for fronting.” Hit play and zone out to this.
