Drake’s ‘More Life’ Delayed?

By all indications, Drake was set to unleash his new project, More Life, during an episode of OVO Sound Radio on Beats1 tonight (March 4, 2017). However, the current Beats1 schedule does not include OVO Sound Radio; Frank Oceans’s Blonded Radio and Future’s Freebandz Radio appear to be platooning the 6 p.m. slot, which is OVO’s resident slot.

To boot, last night, Drake posted-then-deleted this image of today’s date scrawled across a piece of paper. The caption was “tonight,” bookended by two emojis: Sweden’s flag and a heart.

Though no official release date was unveiled, this is potentially the second major delay of More Life, which Drake promised would be released in December of last year when he first announced the project in October. Toward the end of January, Drake told an Amsterdam crowd during one of his Boy Meets World Tour shows that the album would be out before he returned to Amsterdam, which was on February 26. Today would have been the first episode of OVO Sound to air since that follow-up Amsterdam show.

Drake hasn’t yet commented on the rescheduling of OVO Sound, but it’s safe to suggest that if something’s going to happen, it isn’t happening tonight.
