PREMIERE: DirtyDiggs ft. Planet Asia & Hus Kingpin “Hot Boiler”

For those who don’t know, DirtyDiggs are two Filipino brothers that are adamant vinyl enthusiasts with a taste for the dusty. They are Gold Chain Music’s in-house producers and their output is epic. On top on of an upcoming mixtape and album, they are also behind the boards for Planet Asia’s street album Dirty Planet, which drops in October.

We recently brought you DirtyDiggs’ video for “Novelty”, which features Supreme Cerebral straight bombin’ on ‘em. The track is off DirtyDiggs upcoming feature-heavy studio album Petty Tendergrass (Sept. 15th). Well, this week we’re premiering the final single off their Side D mixtape titled “Hot Boiler.” The song stars the ring-leaders of #TheWinners and Gold Chain Military, which are Hus Kingpin and Planet Asia respectively. Fans of both crews will know that they come together to form the super clique #ChainWinners. What you might not know is that this song is the lead attack in an upcoming onslaught.

Hus splashes a couple white-crested waves and then smoothly hands the baton off to King Medallions, who runs with it past the finish line and around for a victory lap. The beat sounds like a hazy jazz club distilled into an MPC. It consists of a somber trumpet, wavering violins, and some lonely hi-hats that seem to be the only drums on this joint. What more can we say, zone out now.

We are also going to give you a link to stream the whole Side D mixtape today! Out of the 17 tracks on the project, 9 have not been released yet. These include cuts featuring Planet Asia, Hus Kingpin, Rozewood, Fashawn, Talib Kweli, Willie the Kid, Agallah, Killa Kali, Lyric Jones, Tristate, and Rogue Venom. You can also purchase Side D digitally or on cassette here.
