Diplo, Frank Ocean, and The Clash Create “Hero”
"Three Artists One Song" has four artists but who cares. It sounds great.
No collaboration that Diplo or Frank Ocean does will ever shock me. But that’s not meant as a diss. They’re both artists willing to challenge the boundaries of electronic and hip hop music. That being said when I heard about their new song, “Hero,” featuring Mick Jones and Paul Simonon, of the the legendary punk rock band The Clash, I was stoked to hear two artists leading the new generation creating music with two elder statesmen. Diplo has always been one to work with artists of different genres and Frank Ocean’s voice is built to bless whatever track is sent to his e-mail. As part of Converse’s “Three Artists One Song” series Diplo, Paul Simonon, and Mick Jones created a song, part garage rock, part electro, and part Frank Ocean’s killer vocals. If that doesn’t get you hyped then I doubt anything will. Check out “Hero” below.
