Dave East

PREMIERE: Dave East x V Don “Bipolar”

You know we got Dave East’s back over here at MASS APPEAL. We’re likely to hit you with anything “Harlem’s Hope” is dropping and hit you with it first. We’re also trying to show love to up-and-coming Harlem producer V Don. We have premiered tracks by Rochester lyricists Eto and Rigz that V baked the beat for. And then there’s that ill project he dropped with Willie The Kid earlier this year, Deutsche Marks. If you a DJ and don’t have doubles of that yet, do yourself a favor.

Back to the topic at hand, “Bipolar” is a Dave East x V Don loosie that we’re premiering to support Dave’s recent release Paranoia: A True Story. The producto here relies on lazy piano plinks, complemented with after-dark chirps and an almost militaristic drum roll. East documents working them packs with crystal clear detail. From bragging about the good life he’s currently enjoying, to thinking back to the bad ol’ days, to letting his young daughter know he’s a real n*gga, Dave bars out on this sparse banger. Just one listen should be enough to have you adding this to your Dave East playlist.

Go grab “Bipolar” on iTunes now.
