Cipha Sounds Brings Laughs to a Post-Sandy City In Need of Them

In the midst of all the serious events that have been occurring in New York, one of NYC’s leading figures has decided to ease the vibe with laughter. Cipha Sounds’ Don’t Get Gassed Comedy Series returns for it’s fifth installment tonight, at the legendary Caroline’s on Broadway. If you tune into Cipha Sounds on New York’s Hot 97 radio station, you know that in addition to his passion for hip-hop, he loves to make people laugh. He’s transformed this love into one of the city’s biggest annual comedy events.

Ciph makes sure to mix up the talent with some of comedy’s heavyweights and up-and comers. This year he’s featuring five comedians and five improv performers, all sure to have you actually LOL’ing and not just typing the phrase on Twitter. Catch Brandon J. Gardner, Dan Black, Abra Tabak, Anthony Atamanuik, Phil Augusta Jackson and more! In addition to the hilarious talent, the Don’t Get Gassed Comedy Series is known to bring out a who’s who of hip-hop. And in the midst of all the hilarity will be live election updates, so you can follow your favorite candidate’s results.

You can still purchase tickets on Caroline’s website. Doors open at 6 p.m. Show starts at 8 p.m.
