Chris Brown’s relatively quiet year is no more.
The outspoken entertainer found himself in a stand-off with LAPD (and, according to some, a SWAT team) Tuesday evening. Authorities began showing up to Brown’s house in droves after he was accused by a woman of threatening her with a firearm. Baylee Curran says Chris Brown mysteriously snapped on her during a meeting at his home, and brandished the gun in an attempt to shoo her from his property. Curran says she was subsequently subjected to a non-disclosure agreement that she refused to sign.
In a series of videos posted to Instagram during yesterday’s stand-off, Brown iterated his innocence and wagged his finger at the media for consistently casting him in a negative light. He then indirectly addressed the task forces circumscribing his property, and told them their warrant will mean little, because his house is clean.
The stand-off, which began when officers first arrived at Brown’s house at 3AM, ended at roughly 1PM. — 11 hours later — when detectives finally gained access to Brown’s house. CB’s attorney, Mark Geragos, was in the house with Brown while it was being searched, and sent out this tweet today about his client.
Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes. Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false #TeamBreezy

If the arrest couldn’t get any more baffling, no one told that to Baylee Curran. After she spoke with police and accused Chris Brown, it was discovered that she’s actually wanted in New York for alleged purse snatching.
Brown posted 250,000 a bond Tuesday evening, and was subsequently released from custody. He’s schedule to be arraigned on charges next month (September 20).
