Cheap Thrills Record Club USA #1 Haiku Review: The Oblivians – Desperation

Envelope Paper Address Highlighter Yellow

Everyone’s favorite Montpelier, Vermont-based record club is back for another week’s review. This time the Cheap Thrills Record Club USA #1 gang writes about The Oblivians’ Desperation album.

Dear The Oblivians,

Hello from Vermont! We are the Cheap Thrills Record Club USA #1! Every week, we get together to listen to a vinyl LP by a band we have never hear, or an LP by a band we have heard of, but an album we have not.

And tonight, oh tonight… tonight, we listened to your new record “Desperation”. We each tossed in a few bucks to cover the cost of your record, and listened to it in the local record store afterhours! Every time we dig into a record, we take a fuckin’ moment to personally and individually reflect by writing a haiku in reaction to your music. Here are the haiku we plucked from our hearts in Montpelier, Vermont…

…for you.

Love,

The Cheap Thrills Record Club USA #1
