Charlamagne tha God Says People Who Lie About Being Trans Should Go To Jail

Last week, soon after Donald Trump announced to the world that he was going to try and ban transgendered people from joining the militaryThe Breakfast Club had transgender author Janet Mock on the show to talk about her new book. After she was on, the show featured comedian Lil Duval, who along with co-host Charlamagne tha God, said some really dumb shit.

Asked about how he felt about Trump’s ban on transgendered people serving in the military, Lil Duval said that if he was to be dating someone whom he thought was a woman, only to find out right before the two of them were about to have sex that she was not the gender Duval thought she was, he would kill probably kill her.

Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne tha God laughed and reminded Duval that he can’t just go around killing people for being trans. “That’s a hate a crime,” he told Lil Duval, half-seriously. Although, after making a logical statement, he did turn around and say that it was wrong for someone to hide their true identity and those who did should receive some sort of legal ramifications. “[They] should be in jail” he said.

Their conversation about this subject starts at around the six-minute mark.

The conversation promoted outrage online over the weekend sparking the Twitter hashtag,  #BreakfastclubBoycott.

And sure enough, like clockwork, while on stage at Politicon over the weekend, Charlamagne tha God was disrupted by protesters.

It kind of looks like The Breakfast Club is becoming a breeding ground for guests who want to come and ruin their reputation by saying dumb shit. Last week, Rick Ross had to apologize for comments he made on-air. While being a creep and commenting on co-host Angela Yee’s legs, he told the world that he wouldn’t sign a woman to his record label because he’d want to fuck them.
