PREMIERE: Booda French “Masterpiece”

The UK is going off and we are trying to secure premieres for all the singles and vids we know will be dominating for the foreseeable future. As many up-and-coming British artists as we’ve covered lately, there just seems to be more materializing daily. Now, we trust anything put out by quality hip-hop label EatGood, but we would have shared something from Booda French without their co-sign.

We’re bringing French’s laid-back new single “Masterpiece” to Thanksgiving dinner. We plan to put it on right as an argument starts to break out. This ode to the creative process is laced by King Kashmere, who utilizes heavily-filtered keys, sparse bells, and trippy sound effects to create a sound bed that’s easy on the ears. And Ipswich’s nicest outlines the situation and mindstate he was in when he recorded this cut. As French puts it, “I find comfort in the misery / I just deal with it better than the guilt of happiness.” You know what they say, pain is fuel for great art. Check “Masterpiece” out now…or save it to cool down after the inevitable family squabble today.

“Masterpiece” will be available for purchase tomorrow from all major digital retailers.
