Best Music Videos of the Week: Future, Travis Scott, 21 Savage and More
Featuring Future, Future and more Future
This is the last Best Music Videos of the Week of the year. Last week saw hardly any videos release. This week, it’s actually less. Future, Travis Scott, Popcaan, Rae Sremmurd and 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’ are all we’ve got to end the year out. Fine with us–a few of the guys who worked on some of the best records of 2016.
Peep the year’s end down below.
Future – “Drippin'”
Off this year’s Future release, Purple Reign, comes the video for “Drippin’ (How U Luv That). In typical Future fashion, there’s the fattest of asses and a ton of cash flow. The video also shows the rapper enjoying the party life with Drake, DJ Khaled and Metro Boomin.
Future – “That’s A Check” ft. Rick Ross
Future also dropped a new track this week called “That’s A Check,” featuring Rick Ross. Similar to the video for “Drippin’,” the rapper is partying in a mansion surrounded by beautiful women and dope sofas. Think of the track as a celebration of what’s to come from the artist in 2017.
21 Savage and Metro Boomin – “X” ft. Future
Yeah, this week has even more Future. One of the memorable releases of 2016 was 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’s Savage Mode EP. To support the EP, the artists teamed up with Vincent Lou Film and shot footage in a mansion out in the middle of no where. Nothing visually spectacular here, but the video is a great reminder of one of the year’s best.
Popcaan – “Nah Idle”
Jamaican dancehall artist Popcaan dropped a Christmassy video for “Nah Idle.” The visual shows Popcaan in a thick winter coat walking through the city of London, as the visuals cut back to a classroom.
Travis Scott – “Biebs In the Trap” ft. NAV
Travis Scott is enjoying a solid year with his record Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight. “Biebs In the Trap” features Canadian rapper NAV and watches the two perform near a sports car and some women in plastic outfits.
Rae Sremmurd – “Real Chill” ft. Kodak Black”
“Black Beatles” might’ve been a surprise hit for Rae Sremmurd, but they’re not stopping the momentum just yet. The rappers teamed up with Kodak Black on the track “Real Chill,” and this week we see a visual for it. The rappers are getting lit up in a house (surprise, another party video for the week) surrounded in Christmas lights and girls. Get hype and peep the video up above.
