AUDIO: The Black Opera “Fxckin Problem”

So A$AP Rocky’s major label debut Long.Live.A$AP leaked its way on to the Interweb yesterday nearly a month before it was supposed to be officially released.”1 Train,” a song from the album featuring a who’s who of rappers people love and love to hate, hit the blogs and fans went ape shit over it.

In much bigger and much more important news a massacre happened in Newtown, Conn. last Friday (Dec. 14). 20 children and six women were shot to death when a madman armed to the teeth ran up in an elementary school and opened fire on them. It is in the spirit of balancing the bullshit of entertainment with the harsh realities of American life that the Black Opera jacked Rocky’s beat for his light-hearted song about self-diagnosed Satyriasis “Fuckin’ Problem” to address some actual problems that are plaguing our society like addiction and addiction to prescription drugs. Heavy-handed? Maybe. Timely? Relevant? Most definitely. Take a listen and tell us what you think of their version of the song.
