PREMIERE: ANoyd Talks To The Ladies On “Say So”

“I sent this record to all the females in my phone and everyone of them said it was a hit record,” says ANoyd of “Say So,” a new single taken from his forthcoming EP A Time and Place, dropping April 18 on Empire / PMG. “I wanted to make the women feel special and important because they are.”

Born Dashorn Whitehead in Bloomfield, CT, ANoyd built a local buzz off his projects ANoydwithLife and Summer In Sinsinati. When he got the chance to rock on the air with Funkmaster Flex last year, he repped his state—”Connecticut is in the building”—and dropped straight bars. His latest record takes a different approach.

The Ty Nitty–produced track, which MASS APPEAL premieres today, features woozy atmospheric keyboards and a melodic but determined flow. One minute he’s flipping the hook from TLC’s “No Scrubs,” next he’s calling himself “the tour guide to your left titty.” Call it versatility. “I’ve been practicing my singing a lot as of late,” says the artist. “Once Nitty played the beat for me I knew this one the one to let it all out on.”

“‘Say So’ is just a warm up,” ANoyd vows. “I can’t wait for everyone to hear the whole project!” You can get your first taste right here:
