This past Wednesday we linked up with Contego Eyewear founders Aaron Hansen and Mikol Stambaugh to talk shop and shades. As I needed a model to photograph, I brought along friend of MA and fellow stylist Shaundel Hall who agreed to step out from behind the scenes for the day. Lucky for us, the weather was in our favor, so our crew took off to the West Side Highway for a photo shoot with the Brooklyn based brand. Having backgrounds in design and product development, the partners aim to produce quality eyewear for the educated fashion savvy customer who appreciates superb style without breaking the bank. Contego’s inspiration draws from both contemporary and vintage brands such as 1969 Arnold Palmer Ray-Ban’s. The result is a well-executed collection encompassing unisex designs with unique details like the naming each of style after a Nobel Prize winner in Literature. If that’s not enough to have you click on the links below and cop your Contego frames now, Aaron and Mikol continued to impress by giving back 5% of their wholesale sales to RestoringVision.org.
