Where NYC Christmas Trees Go To Die

Where NYC Christmas Trees Go To Die

New York City is a strange place. Why, just a few weeks ago folks were on a mad dash for their holiday shopping lists and yuletide fixings. And now, 2014 is here and a lot of those trimmings and things are out the window just like the old year. So what does that mean for the average Christmas tree that hauled ass to make it into the Big Apple just so it could decorate your overpriced apartment? It means, “Sorry bub, take it up with someone who cares.” It also means that in the city of big dreams, one day you’re the king of the town and everyone’s looking for a piece of you, and the next, you’re out on your luck. Here’s a series of photos of disposed pine trees. Count your blessings and take a visual ride with us as we shine light on the unsung veterans of the seasonal shuffle – RIP.
